How do I apply to work at the shop?
The best way to ask about job opportunities is to simply email us. Write “working at the shop” in the subject line. Kindly add your credentials, social pages and website if you have one. If there are no socials or website links, add a resume to the email. We will keep your information on file. Email main@pleasenewyork.com
Do you offer private shopping hours?
Private shopping hours are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 am - 12 pm. They are by appointment only and have an upfront, non-refundable, cost of $100 which will go towards the items purchased. Kindly email main@pleasenewyork.com to schedule an appointment. This time is meant for those that want to shop and need a private uninterrupted setting to do so. Booking is for one hour.
How do I book a one-on-one consult with the staff?
One-on-one consultation with the staff hours are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 am - 12 pm. They are by appointment only and have an upfront, non-refundable, cost of $100. We will chat and advise on books, products and other delicate topics the shop offers privately and discreetly. Note, we are not licensed therapists or practitioners, we offer a safe space to help customers navigate difficult topics around sex, sexuality, gender, relationships, sexual health, and wellness. We may not know the answers but we will help navigate how to find them. Booking is for one hour.
What is your return/exchange policy?
Returns & Exchanges - Due to the nature of our products (intimate usage!- no one wants to use someone else's toy!?), we cannot take returns or exchanges on the basis of a change in your preferences. Our staff have been trained to walk you through our inventory and the functionality of each product so as to ensure you make the most informed purchase. At the time of your purchase, the staff have reviewed these terms so as to ensure we're all on the same page!
If you purchased your product online, and hence may have had to make this decision on your own, again, we apologize that you are less than pleased with your purchase. We welcome you to contact us via email at main@pleasenewyork.com or call 718.788.6969 to ask for our guidance before making a purchase or for further questions on returns and exchanges.
Defective merchandise may be exchanged for replacement or store credit within 7 days of receiving your purchase. Please provide receipt for proof of purchase.
Some products are additionally covered under a manufacturer's warranty. Individual product information on warranty policies are provided at the time of your purchase.
Note that certain manufacturers do not allow exchanges at the store level. If this is the case, your product has a unique product ID that you should register on the manufacturer's website to ensure that you are properly covered for defective concerns.
Return Policy - Due to the sensitive nature of our products, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges, except in the case of defective items. Defective merchandise may be exchanged for replacement or store credit within 7 days of store purchase or receiving your online purchase. Original store or online order receipt must be presented for proof of purchase. All items must have complete packaging and all original parts, including any accessories, batteries, cords, chargers, remotes, blank warranty cards, instructional pamphlets, etc. to be eligible for return. For online orders, you must contact us within 7 days of receiving your purchase to receive a return authorization prior to return shipment. We are unable to accept returns without an authorization.
How may I be considered to be a model at the shop for erotic open draw sessions?
The best way to request to be on our modeling list is to simply email us. Write “modeling at open draw” in the subject line. Kindly add your credentials, social pages and website if you have one. How do we request a donation for fundraising events?

A pitch deck helps us get to know your event or organization so if you have one, please add it as well. May I order a custom leather harness tailored to my measurements?
Raven and Lantern leather will come to the shop and will measure for custom leather fittings. Items include collars, posture collars, cuffs, and harnesses. Fitting hours are on Tuesday evenings from 5 pm - 7 pm. By appointment only and have an upfront, non-refundable, cost of $50 which will go towards the items purchased.
